The Director General of the Environmental Intervention Fund (FIE), Delwendé Davy NANEMA, presided over the handover ceremony between the outgoing Director of Finance and Accounting (DFC), Antoine SEBOGO, and the incoming Director, Yanga ADOUA, this Wednesday, August 20, 2025, in Ouagadougou.
Yanga ADOUA, Mle 53 557 S , Treasury Inspector, 1st class, 9th echelon, was appointed DFC of the FIE, by the Council of Ministers, at its meeting of Wednesday, July 30, 2025.
The Director General of the FIE praised the strong contribution of the outgoing DFC, Antoine SEBOGO, to the achievement of the results obtained by the fund during his term ( February 2024 - August 2025) . He invited him to be a resource person, even an ambassador for the FIE, in view of his experience.
At the incoming DFC, Yanga ADOUA, the Director General of the FIE indicated that he arrives at a time when the structure has enormous challenges, namely, among others, the mobilization of internal and external financing; the strengthening of achievements following the accreditation of the FIE, on February 18, 2025, to the Green Climate Fund as a National Direct Access Entity; the continuation of the accreditation process to the Adaptation Fund; the continuation of the implementation of the projects of the UNCDF Local Facility and the continuation of the activities of the 4th call for projects of the FIE relating to the fight against plastic waste.
Outgoing DFC, Antoine SEBEGO, expressed his gratitude to the authorities who placed their trust in him by entrusting him with this mission. While wishing his successor well, he reassured him of his availability to support him, if necessary.
As a farewell and to celebrate the good times spent together, the DFC colleagues presented a symbolic gift to the outgoing DFC.
The new FIE DFC, Yanga Adoua, thanked the authorities for his appointment to this position. He said he did not come as a specialist, but as someone who came to learn and contribute to the FIE's influence.
He expressed his commitment to meeting the challenges that will arise in order to enable the FIE to achieve its objectives.
