TRADITION, ONCE AGAIN, RESPECTED AT THE MINISTRY IN CHARGE OF THE ENVIRONMENT
This Monday, September 2, 2024, the civilian and paramilitary personnel of the Ministry of the Environment, Water and Sanitation (MEEA) once again mobilized around Minister Roger BARO for the traditional raising of the colors.
As every first Monday of the month, the agents, alongside the head of the Department, expressed their patriotic spirit. This time, the national anthem was sung in the national language Lobiri , in the presence of the customary notables of the South-West region. According to Minister BARO, this responds to the recommendation of the President of Faso who instructed to sing the Ditanyé in the national languages, in rotation, in the ministerial departments, during the raising of colors.
The Minister of the Environment, Water and Sanitation welcomed the mobilization of staff for the raising of the colors while inviting everyone to implement what is said in the Ditanyé , namely love for the homeland.
Mr. Roger BARO stressed that with the end of August, the reforestation ceremonies in open areas end. From now on, reforestation in a secure environment, with water for the care of the plants, is recommended.
At the end of the flag raising ceremony, photos of the various ministers who served the department were unveiled in the meeting room of the Ministry of the Environment, Water and Sanitation. A way for Minister BARO to pay tribute to his predecessors.
